Goher Qamar did his B.Sc. (Electrical Engineering) from UET, Lahore. Later he also completed Masters in Telecommunication Technology Management from University of Ottawa/Carlton Canada.

Having a vast experience in the field of Telecom, he has served in organizations like PTCL (Pakistan Telecomm Company), PAKTEL, and Civil Aviation Authority. As an expert in outside plant, switching and optical fiber he worked on optical fiber Access network program first time in Pakistan.

Having foreign trainings in the field of telecommunication including voice messaging systems in one of the largest voice messaging company Intervoice-Brite, Dallas, U.S.A. and served in the organization likes BriconRidge Manufacturing Solutions Ottawa, Canada. He is among very few professionals who have qualifies for Professional Engineer for Ontario Canada
